| Venus | The integration of traditional advertising graphics really spruces up this site. The layout is more traditional, with less dynamic content, however the site is easy to navigate and doesn't really distract from the purpose of buying clothes. The cart is instead a shopping bag and works easily and well. Also, I don't know much about women's clothes. |
| Make Me Chic | Though the flashy graphics and art slows the site down initially, the added ambiance and flavor is very nice. I felt more comfortable with this site once it loaded. Slower machines may have some problems, but other than the graphics the layout was fairly generic. However, the main page has several options about learning about style and it looks to be updated fairly regularly. This extra bit of content will have the customers coming back to check, and it takes a bit of the edge off of the difficulty of deciding to shop or not for newcomers to have a bit of a guide available. |
| DH Styles | Sticking to the design standards can get you lost in the crowd, but there's a fine line between lost in the crowd and lost customers. The links and categories are all right up top and easily read. The content is categorized nicely and provides a lot of incentive to click on specials and items. The overall effect is welcoming and easy to access. But I still don't know much about women's clothes. |
| Centsible | Apparently, it's not the clothes that are discount, but the web design instead. The color scheme is hard to read, and the non-centered alignment is not very friendly or competitive with the other sites. The MAIN problem is that you don't even see any clothes to buy on the initial display! Once you scroll down you see some clothes, but this main page scrolls too far. From no content to too much, this site is a disaster. And the shopping cart is nowhere to be found. I don't know anything about the clothes though, ha ha. |
