Our story so far...
One day I took my yellow lab, Brooke out to the park. She was a sprightly puppy with no common sense and broke free of her leash, chasing a squirrel across the grounds and up a tree. When I finally caught up with her, I found a flier pinned to the tree advertising a culinary school. I had been thinking about returning to school and took this as a sign.
Three months later, I was enrolled in the Gulf Coast Culinary Institute, Gulf Shores, Al., where I eventually earned my degree in Pastry Arts. When I was ready to start my own business, I remembered that day and the inspiration Brooke gave me, and so named my company Brooke's Cookies in honor of that crazy dog that led me to start down this path, even if I was cursing her at the time.
I've always loved baking.
I remember spending long hours in the kitchen with my mother around the holidays, baking and decorating enormous batches of sugar cookies to hand out as gifts. The air would be perfumed with vanilla and the sweet scent of the cookies in the oven, drawing in other family members from elsewhere in the house. The cookies I bake today take me back to those early years and the comforting warmth of my mother's yellow kitchen. My cookies have a personal flair, but hearken back to the traditional treats of my childhood.
I developed each recipe for my signature cookies over the years from my favorite ingredients. I bake them fresh and send them to you with all the love and home-baked goodness you crave, whether you're looking for the perfect holiday gift, or just a little treat for yourself.
You know you deserve it.
